Q: Once I've registered in the rewards program, when will I begin earning points?
A: Points are awarded when JGBB receives confirmation from the Travel Partner that the stay has been completed. You can begin entering booking requests and reservations as soon as you have created an account, but you will not see any points appearing in your account until your client has completed their trip and JG receives confirmation.
Q: How do I earn Travel Partner reward points?
A: You will receive ONE reward point for ONE USD booked with a participating Travel Partner. Reward points are specific to each Travel Partner. For example, if you book 5,000 USD with The Lanesborough you will receive 5,000 reward points in your Lanesborough reward points account; likewise, if you book 10,000 USD with Ponta dos Ganchos you will receive 10,000 reward points in your Ponta dos Ganchos reward points account.
Q: How do I earn JG Black Book reward points?
A: You will receive ONE reward point for ONE USD booked with all JG Travel Partners. If you book 5,000 USD with The Lanesborough and 10,000 USD with Ponta dos Ganchos you will receive 15000 reward points in your JG Black Book reward points account.
Q: What is an Incentive?
A: An incentive is an opportunity for the Travel Professional to earn extra reward points. A JG Black Book Travel Partner will place incentives on this website to encourage bookings over a particular period or to book a special package. For example, as an incentive to promote their Fly Fishing Package, Sundance Resort may offer an additional 3,000 bonus reward points for each package booked between 8/1/07 - 12/1/07.
Q: What if I previously booked reservations with a Travel Partner?
A:
Bookings can be entered into the Rewards Program system up to 3 months past the date travel is completed. For administrative reasons, the Rewards Program system can no longer validate and provide points for bookings entered more than 90 days past the date the trip is over.
Q: How does a participating agent determine the value on a qualified reservation?
A: All values are determined by the dollar amount of the room rate only multiplied by the number of nights (taxes and resort fees are not to be included). Tours and Safaris values are determined by the value of the net package price.
Q: How do I redeem Travel Partner and JGBB reward points?
A: You can redeem your points on this website. Simply choose your reward and click on the REDEEM button. Reward requests are forwarded to the Travel Partner who will then contact you via e-mail with confirmation and details of delivery; please remember that all rewards are the responsibility of the awarding Travel Partner. JG Black Book reward requests are verified by JG staff, who will either e-mail or ship your reward to you; all rewards granted under JG Black Book points are shipped directly from JGBB.
Q: How long are my reward points valid?
A: All JG points are cumulative and valid for 18 months. All Travel Partner points are cumulative and valid for 18 months, with the exception of a departing Travel Partner, and then all reward point holders will be given a 60-day notice to redeem these points.
Q: Can I combine reward points with another agent?
A: No, reward points are on a cumulative basis by individual agent.
Q: Can I combine reward points from two seperate Travel Partners?
A: No, reward points are specific to the Travel Partner booked.
Q: Can I use my reward points to redeem gifts for others?
A: Yes, you may use any reward in whatever manner you choose: for yourself, or as a gift for a client, colleague, friend or family member.
Q: How do I make reservations with JG Travel Partners?
A: There are several ways to make a reservation:
- Contact a Travel Partner directly
- Book on the Global Distribution Service (GDS) or the worldwide web
- Use a Tour Operator
- Make a booking request online on this website
- Call JG Black Book of Travel and we can make the reservation

Q: When I make a reservation through JG, what kind of VIP extras will my clients receive?
A: Your clients will be designated as JG Preferred Travelers and recognized as such upon their arrival at their destination. VIP extras range from a personal note from you or the Travel Partner to welcome gifts or services, which vary at each location. And, of course, special requests for your clients are accommodated whenever possible.
Q: How do I check the status of my Booking or VIP Requests?
A: Everything that is registered with your account can be accessed through the website by clicking Manage Account Information on the left hand side. Via email, you will also receive a monthly statement of your transactions.
