This website is owned by JG, Inc. (the “Company”) d/b/a Black Book Travel ("Black Book"). Your use of this website is subject to this Privacy Notice, which we reserve the right to revise in our sole discretion with or without notice to you. Please read this information carefully.

When it comes to privacy, Black Book is committed to transparency and accountability. For those reasons, we have developed policies and procedures that respect your privacy, secure your information and provide you with choices about our marketing activities, as well as the marketing activities of the companies with which we do business. Please note that we provide links on our website to the websites of destination and Program Contributors, advertisers and other third parties which have their own privacy policies. Black Book is not responsible or liable for the content of such third party websites and we suggest that you refer to those websites for information on their respective practices.

Please carefully review the following five Black Book Privacy Commitments and related information:

Privacy Commitment #1: We Tell You What Information We Collect.

Technical Information

For each visitor to our website, we may collect technical information that is not easily personally-identifiable, such as your IP address, the identity of your ISP, the referral address, which tells us the internet address of the last page you visited before coming to our website and the browser and platform type (such as an Internet Explorer browser on a Windows XP platform).

We may use "cookies" to collect anonymous information about users of our website. A cookie is a small text file that contains a unique identification number that is transferred from a website to the hard drive of your computer so that a website administrator can identify your computer and passively track its activities a website.

Member Information

If you enroll in the Black Book Agent Rewards Program and become a member, Black Book collects personal information about you for your Account. We collect Member Information as follows:

directly from members when they enroll on our website, participate in our programs and designate contributions
from Corporate Contributors, when they report members transactions that earn contributions
from our cookies, which are used to track member transactions that earn contributions on participating online mall websites

For example, when you register, we may collect your name, mailing address, email address, telephone number, job title, and other preferences. We may also collect loyalty card and credit card information if you want to earn contributions using these cards. When you accumulate contributions in your Loyalty Account, you will have the opportunity to redeem those contributions per the terms and conditions of the program. We will collect this history of your activity and uses. Finally, we may also maintain a record of all communications from you through our website, including emails to us, bulletin board posts, feed forms, etc.

To earn contributions to your Account, we track the uses and purchases that you make with our Corporate Contributors via your registered credit, debit or loyalty cards, as well as purchases made with unique account identifiers. We use cookies to track purchases that earn contributions when shop at participating online Corporate Contributors.

Note that Black Book does not intentionally market its Program or any of its related services to children, the website is not intended for use by children, and we do not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13.

Privacy Commitment #2: We Tell You How We Use The Information We Collect.

We use Member Information to:

Manage our contribution programs and administer your Account
Fulfill your requests for information and services, such as our newsletters
Inform you about other programs, products, and services we offer
Provide you with information and special offers from our Corporate Contributors and non-profits

We may also customize the advertising you see based on demographic data you provide when you enroll. Additionally, we use aggregated member information to provide reports to our Destination or Corporate Contributors about the types and characteristics of their customers who participate in the Black Book programs.

We use the Technical Information we collect for the purposes of analyzing how our website functions, measuring audience size and traffic patterns, enhancing the website or its functionality, administering or enhancing our program, and complying with legal and regulatory requirements.

Additionally, we use the information from cookies to determine if a Member is shopping online with a Corporate Contributor (such as at a participating online mall) through our website, but not logged in.

Privacy Commitment #3: We Tell You With Whom We Share The Information. We provide personal information of Members to third parties as follows:

We may provide a personal identifier (such as your loyalty card number) to Destination or Corporate Contributors, but only so that they can verify your participation in the Black Book programs and report transactions that earn contributions to us.
We may provide your name, email and/or regular mailing address to other persons or entities who are our identified partners, affiliates or service providers. Do not provide us information if you do not approve of us using it as we deem appropriate.
Your submission represents your approval to receive marketing information and other information from us and our contributors.

As permitted by law, we may disclose all of the information we collect, as described above, with nonaffiliated third parties that are acting on our behalf, such as data processors, technical systems consultants and programmers, or companies that help us market our own products to you. These third parties are not permitted to use the information for any purposes other than the ones we specify.

We also reserve the right to provide your personally identifiable information to third parties in the following situations: (1) to law enforcement or other parties, if required to do so by law, (2) as needed to enforce the terms of our Member Agreement or to reasonably protect our legal rights, or (3) in connection with a merger, acquisition or other business combination, or a bankruptcy, liquidation, receivership, or other similar proceeding involving our assets or business.

Privacy Commitment #4: We Protect the Information We Collect. Your trust is of paramount importance to Black Book, and so we take steps to protect the security and confidentiality of the Member Information we collect.

Please remember that you must take responsibility for security as well. Do not share your Black Book user Id or password with anyone. When you have finished using the website, please log out and exit your browser to ensure that others cannot access your Black Book Account or use this website under your name. This is especially important if other people may have access to your personal computer or you are using a computer in public place such as a library or Internet café.

Privacy Commitment #5: You Can Control Your Information. As a member of the Black Book community, you control what information we have about you. Additionally, you can view the Member Information we have about you and change your preferences by updating your Account Profile at any time.

Please note that even if you choose not to receive any marketing communications from us, we do reserve the right to send you notices that are needed to manage your Account, administer the Program, or required by law or regulation.
